Very nice colured crownshaft , more spinny compared to the A .Crinita and brown to redish crownshaft and even branches. Grow better in humid and wet area, even mature it keeps the spines and redish branches as in the pics. whereas the crinita look alike, less spinny of course and simply green crownshaft.A.rubra or crinita , they are both slow growing.In mature specimens the trunk get brownish - rusty in colour and have a bulbous base.
